1. Unboxing your SD160

5. How to load cards into your printer

This video will explain how to load your cards into the SD series (SD160 / SD260) Entrust printer.

Follow along to see how to load your ISO chip cards and your magnetic strip cards correctly into the input hopper.

Please wear gloves when handling the cards so as not to put any dirt or oils on the cards.

This is important so that your cards are printed properly with no errors.

6. How to print a test card

This video will explain how to print a test card on your SD series (SD160 / SD260).

Follow along in this video on the steps to print a test card. You may have to print a few cards before the card quality is to your standards. This is because the print ribbon still needs to warm up the colours to print on your card.

Please be patient with your printer.

7. Removing a card jam

This video will explain how to remove your card if it is jammed in your SD Entrust card printer (SD160 & SD260).

Follow the steps to see how to carefully remove a jammed card without damaging the printhead. Only once you have removed the card may you continue printing.

Please be patient with your card printer. It may be a bit fidgety to remove the jammed card.

8. Repairing a broken ribbon

This video will explain how to repair a broken ribbon if your ribbon has snapped in your SD Entrust card printer (SD160 & SD260).

Follow the steps to see how to carefully repair your snapped ribbon and re-use it.

Please use gloves when handling your ribbon as it may be difficult to handle. You do not want to get dirt or oils onto the ribbon when printing as this will transfer onto your card and affect the quality of the card.

9. Inserting a cleaning card

This video will explain how to insert a cleaning card into your SD series Entrust printers (SD160 & SD260).

Cleaning cards are normally inserted when your printhead is damaged or after 250 card have been printed and the quality of your card diminishes.

Cleaning cards clean your card printer and prevent your card quality from diminishing.

10. Cleaning your printhead

This video will explain how to clean your printhead on your Entrust SD printer (SD160 & SD260).

It is important to clean your printhead when it has been damaged, when the printhead is replaced or it is touched by oils or dirt.

Please wear gloves while doing this so you do not contaminate the clean printhead.

11. Printing cards – Microsoft word

This video will explain how to print your cards off Microsoft word with your SD Entrust printers (SD160 & SD260).

This is a simple video showing you how to print your cards off Microsoft word. Follow these steps to set up your printer properties to print off your PC onto the card printer.

14. What to do if printer cover was open during printing?

This image will show you what to do if you left your print cover open whilst printing.

This may damage your printhead so please follow the steps below to prevent this from occurring.
